Nicolet Lumber Company is a family-owned construction company known for quality craftsmanship. We’re seeking an experienced Finishing Carpenter to join our crew. This role focuses on high-quality finish work for apartment and multi-family construction projects across Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry experience, strong attention to detail, and takes pride in clean, professional work. Current projects are located in Fox Lake, Eagle River, Beaver Dam, Berlin, Baraboo, and Portage.
Responsibilities:
- Install trim, casing, baseboards, doors, cabinets, shelving, and hardware.
- Hang, adjust, and finish interior and exterior doors.
- Install handles, locks, deadbolts, numbers, bumpers, and peepholes.
- Perform caulking around windows, showers, patios, trim, and other finish areas.
- Complete punch-list items and prepare units for final inspection or turnover.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Work with the crew to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow company safety, conduct, travel, and overnight stay policies.
Requirements:
- Finishing carpentry experience required.
- Experience with trim, doors, cabinets, hardware, caulking, and punch-list work preferred.
- Multi-family, apartment, or residential construction experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel throughout Wisconsin, including overnight stays when needed.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors or outdoors year-round.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well with a crew.

- Competitive pay based on experience $30-$35/hour
