Experienced Residential Maintenance & Remodeling Technician

Position: Full-time
Pay: $28–$32 per hour
Perk: Company vehicle provided

A growing local real estate investment company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Residential Maintenance & Remodeling Technician. A company vehicle will be provided.

This is a skilled jack-of-all-trades position combining property maintenance, carpentry, remodeling, and residential repairs. You will work on homes being renovated, prepared for sale, or maintained as rental properties.

This is not an entry-level helper position. Applicants must have proven hands-on experience and be able to complete a wide range of projects with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect properties, identify repairs, and prepare material lists.
  • Complete residential maintenance, remodeling, and property-turn projects.
  • Install and repair cabinets, doors, windows, trim, and baseboards.
  • Complete drywall, plaster, painting, framing, subfloor, and flooring-preparation work.
  • Perform plumbing repairs involving fixtures, faucets, toilets, drains, shutoff valves, supply lines, and water heaters.
  • Perform light electrical work involving outlets, switches, lighting, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot residential heating and HVAC issues.
  • Coordinate contractors when specialized or licensed work is required.
  • Communicate progress, material needs, and project delays.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.

Required Experience:
  • Several years of hands-on residential maintenance, remodeling, construction, home repair, or property-turn experience.
  • Strong carpentry and general repair skills.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, and residential heating systems.
  • Ability to assess projects and complete repairs independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel between properties and perform physical work throughout the day.
  • Comfortable with occasional overtime and an on-call rotation.

Pay and Benefits:
  • $28–$32 per hour, based on experience.
